| Abstract: | A new water-soluble N-protecting group, 2-[phenyl(methyl)sulfoniolethyloxycarbonyl tetrafluoroborate, has been prepared and its application to solid phase peptide synthesis in water has been studied. Leu-enkephalin amide was successfully synthesized in water by the solid phase method using this protecting group. |
