| Abstract: | A colcemid resistant mutant of Chinese hamster ovary cells, CMR795, is shown to be cross resistant to benzimidazole carbamates and hypersensitive to taxol. A taxol resistant mutant, TAX1, has been isolated and is sensitive to colchicine. Its increased taxol resistance is not affected by growth in the presence of tween 80 suggesting that it is not a membrane mutant. A further new mutant, BEN1, which is resistant to benzimidazole carbamates but not to colchicine has also been isolated. |
