| Abstract: | Histories of the endosymbiont nucleus of the binucleate dinoflagellate Peridinium foliaceum Stein were prepared from isolated nuclei and analyzed by peptide mapping, ammo acid composition, and two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. Using these criteria, we identified the presence of two HI-like histories and the core histones H3, H2A, H2B, and H4. These histones are similar but not identical to those of the endosymbiont nucleus of the bi-nucleate dinoflagellate Peridinium balticum Levander. |
