Abstract:Based on a 2-year experience using a perinatal information system and a microcomputer-based local area network (LAN), we assessed the LAN system to see how it provided positive feedback in daily perinatal practice. Discussed herein are the results pertaining to the compatibility between data on conventional patient's charts and that input into the computer system, along with a review of the data-base acquired, containing a large quantity of perinatal medical information.
