The susceptibility of the poultry red mite,Dermanyssus gallinae (De Geer, 1778), to some acaricides under laboratory conditions

Abstract:	Toxicity of 14 selected acaricides was tested for a laboratory strain of femaleD. gallinae. The most toxic were carbaryl (LC₅₀=5.0 g/m²), deltamethrin (LC₅₀=7.8 g/m²), bendiocarb (LC₅₀=11.1g/m²), and permethrin (LC₅₀=12.6 g/m²). High level resistance to DDT inD. gallinae was recorded, with factors of resistance at LC₅₀/ LC₉₀ reaching 57/73.
