Sanblasia, a new genus of the Marantaceae |

| Abstract: | Sanblasia dressleri is described from material from the Serranía de San Blas, E Panamá. The inflorescence has the general appearance of an Ischnosiphon , but the ovary is 3–ovulate, as in Calathea , and the bracteole is channeled and keeled, as in many species of Calathea , and in Pleiostachya. |
