Abstract: | Aerobic microsomal incubations containing either lipoxygenase or carbon tetrachloride and NADPH apparently produce the same free radical, as determined by spin trapping. The spectrum of the radical trapped in the presence of CCl4 and NADPH is consistent with a carbon-centered dienyl lipid radical adduct. This species had previously been identified as the trichloromethyl radical adduct. |
