| Abstract: | The genetic structure of a Colorado potato beetle population from Kiev oblast was examined by cluster analysis of individual RAPD patterns. The obtained clustering indicates that the population is structured. This may be explained by adaptation to pyrethroid insecticides used for controlling the population size of this pest. Micro-evolutionary factors affecting the genetic structure of local populations of Colorado potato beetle are discussed. |
