| Abstract: | Characteristics of Ca2+-binding on the plasma membrane of barleymesophyll cells were studied by a microelec-trophoretic method.The results indicated that Na+ ions could cause nonspecificreduction but not specific reduction in the total amount ofCa2+ bound to the plasma membrane of (salt-tolerant) barleymesophyll cells.
