| Abstract: | Two kinds of fluorescent compounds were isolated in crystalline forms, by silica gel column chromatography, from Japanese chestnuts stored in cold. They had bluish violet and greenish blue fluorescence, and were identified as 6, 7-dimethoxycoumarin and scopoletin, respectively. |
