Photosynthesis of Amino Acids and Peptides Involving Photochemical Fixation of Nitrogen in Sterilized Aqueous Mixtures Containing Paraformaldehyde and Inorganic Catalysts

Nitrogen is a vital nutrient of plants and thus directly or indirectly of all the animals in general including human beings. Its universal deficiency in soil has attracted the attention of the scientists all over the world to develop cheap and commercial methods of nitrogen fixation. Biological and photochemical fixation of nitrogen are the only alternatives and extensive study of these processes is in progress with a view to discover the conditions for getting appreciable fixation of nitrogen.
