Abstract: | The thiobarbituric acid (TBA) test for detecting lipid hydroperoxides does not require for fomation of TBA reacting compounds from hydroperoxides, but oxygen has an unfavorable effect, that is, it forms new hydroperoxides during the reaction when unoxidized lipids co-exist. Therefore, a method using a vacuum reaction tube was proposed. |
