| Abstract: | Streptokinase-streptodornase (SK-SD), a product of Group A and Group C β-hemolytic streptococci, activates natural killer (NK) cells in vitro. This effect appears to occur without the induction of interferon. It is not present in every individual but is reproducible. There appears to be no correlation between NK activation and assays for cellular immunity such as in vivo delayed skin reactions and/or in vitro cell proliferation. |
