Abstract: | Strongyluris panamaensis n. sp. from the intestine of Anolis biporcatus collected in Panama is described and illustrated. Strongyluris panamaensis represents the 30th species assigned to this genus and the fourth from the neotropical region. Strongyluris panamaensis can be easily distinguished from all other neotropical species because it has the shortest spicule. In addition to S. panamaensis, 3 species of Trematoda, Mesocoelium monas, Parallellopharynx arctus, and Urotrema scabridum, and 3 species of Nematoda, Crytosomum penneri, Oswaldocruzia bainae, and Piratuba digiticauda, were identified. |
