| Abstract: | The primary structure of the edited part of theMURF4 (ATPase6) gene was compared for seven species of flagellateLeishmania. The length of this region in all cases was identical and the sequences proved to be highly homologous. The observed differences appear to correspond to the taxonomic position of the species, which belong to three subgenera,Sauroleishmania, Leishmania, andViannia. |
