| Abstract: | In Upper Pliocene/lowermost Pleistocene marine sediments of SE-Lakonia (Greece) shell fragments ofTestudo marginata have been found. The taxonomic determination of this possibly earliest occurrence has been proved by the morphological identity with the recentTestudo marginata. |
