| Abstract: | The Academia Sinica held a Conference in Beijing on 2 1-22 April 1985 to expound the scientific importance and feasibility of the establishment of the Systematic Mycology & Lichenology Laboratory (SMLL). Ten experts from different universities and institutes constituted an appraisal team for the meeting with Prof. Qiu Wei-fan of the Beijing Agricultural University, a Member of Academia Sinica, as the Team Chairperson, and Prof. Zhou Yu-liang of Nankai University as the Vice-Chairperson.Taking part in the conference were representatives from such organizations under the Academia Sinica as the Biology Division, the Planning Bureau, the Funding Bureau, and the Institute of Microbiology. |
