| Abstract: | The induction of arginase and ornithine transaminase in the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe requires the absence of ammonia and the presence of the inducer arginine. It seems that immediate arginase degradation is initiated by starved cells or ones from which arginine has been removed. |
