| Abstract: | In response to in situ dark modulation, or in vitro ATP preincubationof higher plant nitrate reductase, Mg2+ inhibits NADH:nitratereductase activity but not MV:nitrate reductase activity incrude extracts. Also for the purified enzyme the complete NADH:nitratereductase activity is inhibited by Mg2+, but not the partialMV:nitrate reductase or Cyt c reductase activities.
