| Abstract: | A stable association exists between the plasmid Flac and one of the polynucleotide strands of the bacterial chromosome. This polynucleotide strand was isolated and tested for uniqueness by DNA-DNA hybridization analysis. The association was found to involve either bacterial DNA strand. |
