| Abstract: | Nodulated soybean plants (Glycine max [L.] Merr) were grown in sand culture. Carbohydrate composition of nodules, roots, and leaf blades was determined and related to the effects of nitrate in nutrient solution on nodule growth and on nitrogenase activity of nodules. |
