Abstract: | Summary The interferons have been classified into alpha, beta, and gamma (leukocyte, fibroblast, and immune). We used a human genomic clone for 1 interferon IFB to determine the gene copy number in two patients with unbalanced rearrangements of 9p. Our results provide evidence for regional assignment of this gene to 9p21. |
