Abstract: | The dynamics of activities of proteinases in roach and perch chyme and in bream intestine mucosa upon exposure to water with
various salinities for 96-216 h were studied. Irrespective of the water salinity and source of the enzymes, the proteolytic
activities in chyme and intestine mucosa may rise considerably during exposure. This rise is presumably provided by the intestine
microflora. This noted phenomenon is least typical for the ichthyophage-facultative benthophage perch when compared to typical
benthophages. This is most likely determined by the lower species diversity of the enteral microbiota in perch. |
