| Abstract: | The advances of the composition and function of xanthophyll cycle in higher plants, the structure, biochemical properties and regulation of violaxanthin de-epoxidase and zeaxanthin epoxidase, and convertibility and localization of xanthophyll during the last few years are reviewed. |
