Abstract: | A new shrimp-associated goby, Stonogobiops yasha sp. nov., is described on the basis of nine specimens collected from the Ryukyu Islands, Japan. This species is easily distinguished from other congeneric species in having reddish-orange stripes on a white body and only two median cephalic sensory pores on the head.
