| Abstract: | To characterize isolates further within the SIVagm subtype, we studied four SIVagm isolates by cross-hybridization, molecular cloning, and nucleotide sequencing. Our results indicate an unexpected degree of genetic variation among isolates within the SIVagm subtype comparable to the variation between SIVmac and HIV-2. |
