| Abstract: | The heart is one of the first structures to form during organogenesis. The cardiac fate maps and cell lineages are the main aspects in the research on the cardiac origin and morphogenesis. The recent study on the early heart morphogenetic movement and the regionalization of heart precursor cells based mainly on models of chicken and mice are reviewed. |
