Abstract: | The eyes of the sandlance differ from those of other fish, both optically and in the kinds of movements they make. The predatory behaviour of these tiny fish not only makes their lifestyle similar to that of a chameleon, but has led to several extraordinary examples of convergence in the visual system. |
