Abstract: | We rediscovered a group of Barbarabrown titis inhabiting the remnants of the gallery forest associated with a system of small temporary lakes and intermittent streams at the Fazenda Conceição, Mirorós (11°24'S, 42°17'W), State of Bahia, northeastern Brazil. This represents a new western limit for the geographic distribution ofCallicebus personatus barbarabrownae and provides an important evidence for the role of gallery forests as mesic corridors allowing elements of the Atlantic Forest fauna to penetrate into the semi-arid caatinga of northeastern Brazil. |
