Abstract:Insulin treatment following subtotal hepatectomy caused a long lasting change in the binding capacity of hepatic insulin receptors. The insulin binding increased in females and decreased in males in the insulin treated animals (during regeneration) fourteen days after the operation. The tendency of changes was very similar to those which had been caused by neonatal insulin treatment.
