Abstract: | Summary Constitutive, cell free enzyme extracts derived from two strains of Arthrobacter sp. SB 3 and SB 4 hydrolyzed malathion and exhibited Km values of 1.3 and 2.0 mol/mg protein.min respectively. These two enzyme extracts had a broad pH optimum (6–9), a temperature optimum of 25 °C and 36 °C and were not strongly affected by high salt or solvent concentrations (up to 5%). |
