| Abstract: | Summary The effects of pH and temperature on the activities of endoglucanase, exoglucanase and  -glucosidase of C. cellulolyticum were studied. Thermal stability of these enzymes was characterized. Enzymatic hydrolyses of cellulose were performed yielding predominantly glucose and cellobiose. Glucose was shown to be a potent inhibitor of its own formation in cellulose saccharification. |
