Molecular weight separation of proteins and peptides with a new high-pressure liquid chromatography column.

A new high-pressure liquid molecular weight chromatography column was evaluated for its ability to separate proteins and peptides. The column was able to give a linear separation of compounds between 5,000–700,000 M_r. Chromatography of posterior pituitary extracts, tumor-associated fetal antigens, and estrogen receptors demonstrated the ability of the column to separate biological samples.
