Abstract: | Distribution of the frequencies of inversions XL1, 2R1, 3R1, 3L1, from geographically widely separated 8 populations had been studied during a long period of time. The geographical inclines of distribution of inversions XL1, 3R1 (a longitudinal) and 2R1 (a latitudinal) are stable in time. Stationarity of inversional polymorphism is not connected with superdominance of heterozygotes. It is supposed that the stable equilibrium of the frequencies of inversions is supported by variable selection. |
