A genetically isolated population of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in Malaysia |

| Abstract: | A divergent population of Saccharomyces cerevisiae has been identified in Malaysia by molecular and genetic analysis. It has also demonstrated that the yeast S. bayanus may be found in South America. Problems of the origin of S. cerevisiae are discussed. |
