| Abstract: | Continuous low dose gamma irradiation induces a progressive degeneration of germ cells with a concomittant increase in blood FSH; however, the Sertoli cell function is not too much altered since serum ABP level is normal and it is likely that the decrease of epididymal ABP content is the consequence of a reduction in seminiferous tubule fluid excretion. Obviously, spermatids seems to be involved in the regulation of Sertoli cell ABP synthesis. |
