Abstract:Eight microsatellite markers were developed for the lepidopteran species Tortrix viridana using an enrichment protocol. The loci were highly variable with number of alleles ranging from four to 38. Six of the eight loci were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The other two were linked to the Z-chromosome. Values of observed heterozygosity ranged for the autosomal loci from 0.510 to 0.957. All loci will be useful to study dispersal and the autosomal loci, as well for phylogeographical studies.
