| Abstract: | Several environments have been examined to determine the number and type of microorganisms which are capable of degrading morpholine (a simple heterocyclic compound with a reputation for recalcitrance to biodegradation). The methods developed to isolate and enumerate morpholine degraders are discussed. The properties, including growth rates, of isolated morphine degraders are reported. |
