| Abstract: | Young leaves of Katanchoë pinnata Persoon fix CO2 by theC3 pathway while older leaves fix CO2 by the Crassulacean acidmetabolism pathway. The switchover from one system to the otheris associated with the disappearence of an inclusion body inthe chloroplasts of young leaves. |
