Abstract: | In this issue of Cell, discover gene-specific translational silencing as a novel function of the fused glutamyl- and prolyl-tRNA synthetase (GluProRS). GluProRS is released from a multisynthetase translation complex in response to gamma-interferon and forms a four-protein GAIT complex that silences translation of ceruloplasmin (Cp), a protein linked to the inflammatory response. |
