| Abstract: | A study of collections of Chrysobalanaceae provides range extensions of some species and additional information for a few poorly known ones. Ten new species are here described and illustrated:Licania cabrerae, L. montana, L. morii, L. jefensis, L. pakaraimensis, L. marlenei, L. stewardii, L. aracaensis, Hirtella arenosa, H. conduplicata. Several of these are from high elevations, showing that the family is not exclusively of lowlands. |
