| Abstract: | AHedyotis from the Ouachita Mountain region of Arkansas and Oklahoma is superficially similar toH. longifolia (Gaertn.) Hook., but differs consistently in pubescence of the inner corolla and pubescence of the lower stem. It occupies a different habitat and apparently does not hybridize withH. longifolia var.longifolia when the two occur in close proximity. It is described asH. ouachitana. |
