Two New Discrete Distributions

CONSUL and JAIN (1973a) introduced a generalized Poisson distribution, which has applications in reliability theory and many biometric studies, and described some of its properties. Here we obtain two new distributions treating two of the parameters of the above distribution as random variables having gamma and absolute value distributions. One of the new distributions is related to the negative binomial distribution. Their moments also have been obtained.
