| Abstract: | This paper summarizes the role of microorganisms in biogeochemical cycling of carbon in oceans and consists of the following three parts:microorganisms as an important storage of POC,contri-bution of microorganisms to POC flux and role of microorganisms in POC-DOC transformation.The authers suggest that the action of bacteria should be the focus of future research to better un-derstand the role of micrcorganisms in maririe ecosystem. |
