Abstract:The 93 advanced lines of more spikelet(29 33)and common lines(22 29)from CIM-MYT yield test of winter hexaploid wheat in 1994 were studied from spikelets, 1000 kernel weight ,high molecular weight subunit compositions,SDS micro sedimentation test(MST)and their relations.Highly significant positive correlation between Glu 1 quality score and MST,no significant correlations between spikelets and Glu 1 quality score,spikelets and MST, 1000 kernel weight and Glu 1 quality score, 1000 kernel weight and MST.The results of effectsof individual subunit of HMW glutenin to spikelets and 1000 kernel weight suggest no likagemore spikelet with positive effect subunits of HMW glutenin.But in practical breeding pro-gram, yield selections are paid more attention and result in decreasing of frequencies of positive effect subunits of HMW gluteninin in more spikelet wheat.
