| Abstract: | The synthesis of semisynthetic β-lactam antibiotics from 7-amino-cephalosporanic or 6-amino-penicillanic acids and phenyl-glycine esters is catalysed by immobilised cephalexin-synthetase The synthetic activity of the biocatalyst correlates with its activity in the hydrolysis of the phenyl-glycine esters. |
