| Abstract: | Summary An extended survey of nodulation of legume trees from South-East Brazilian forests was conducted. Six new species from the Caesalpinioideae, 23 from the Mimosoideae and 27 from the Papilionoideae are reported to have nodules. Nitrogenase activity (acetylene reduction) was tested for all nodules and rhizobia were isolated from the most active. |
