Animal behavior: timing in the wild

Abstract:A recent study has found that Rufous hummingbirds time the interval between successive visits to flowers that replenish at different rates. The hummingbirds have been shown to store information about both where and when they ate throughout the day, evidence that this species has two components of episodic memory.
