Synchronized growth ofMycobacterium phlei

Three synchronization methods, cold shock, starvation, centrifugation and their combinations were used in order to induce synchronized division inMycobacterium phlei PA. It was found that a combination of cold shock with a preceding centrifugation is the optimum method for the synchronized growth of the culture, its use resulting in three synchronized cell divisions.
