Isolation and random amplified polymorphic DNA analysis of genomic DNA from soybean embryos

Abstract:Summary An isolation procedure was developed for the extraction of genomic DNA and Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis using individual soybean embryos. This procedure can be used to quickly and efficiently isolate DNA from a large number of individuals. DNA isolations were analyzed for total yield, integrity, and usefulness as a template in RAPD analysis.
